I recently read an article online which advocated dumping any low traffic, poor sales sites you had and changing over to a blog. While the author was not necessarily wrong, I suggested in a comment to him that he was missing a very important element, or more accurately a very important caveat.

The 1waylinks.net service from Jonathan Leger takes the security of the blog backlink network very seriously. Jon makes sure that every blog post is manually reviewed for approval before it is released to the network. Amazingly, this is done by a human reviewer. This person is responsible to ensure that only good quality, family-friendly posts will be added to network blogs. As you might imagine, no adult, gambling, illegal sites, or sites with religious content are allowed into the network. As a result, you never have to worry about your blog linking to sites that you would not approve of.
Another excellent feature is quality checking. Jon uses an automated process to verify that all of the blogs in the network maintain their links to your site. If Jon finds cheaters he kicks them out of the network. Additionally, any blogs banned by Google are removed from the network swiftly as well.
Jon is careful to make sure that there are no links or footprints leading back to 1WayLinks.net, either. Each blog is completely independent.
